Unlike PES or DST files that store finished stitch data at a fixed size, BX files store the font outlines and let the software calculate stitches at the size you specify. This means a single BX font works perfectly at 0.5 inches or 5 inches without any quality degradation.

What is a BX font?
A BX font is an embroidery font format built for Embrilliance software. Instead of storing finished stitches at a fixed size, a BX file stores the font outlines and lets the software recalculate stitch density at whatever size you type — so one file works at 0.5" or 5" with no quality loss.
How do I install free BX fonts in Embrilliance?
Download the .bx file, open Embrilliance, go to Help → Install BX Fonts, and select the file. The font appears instantly in your font list. In AlphaTricks and Embroidery+ it works the same way — no restart needed.
Are the BX fonts really free for Embrilliance?
